Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal – Kaléidos, 2009

Transoms for rooms in the coronary care unit: print on film, frosted glass, 42 x 120 cm (each transom).

Integration project of art and architecture for the rooms of the coronary unit at the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur in Montreal.
Fourteen images, inspired by kaleidoscope’s images, were created from photographs of leaves and wild flowers. Collected in a photomontage, leaves and flowers are transformed and become both abstract and figurative. The symmetry patterns reminds of traditional stained glass and these patterns can color the light and give a special character to each rooms of the unit.
